Break Open The Vessel, Pour The Oil, Cut The Cords

I sense that many women are following an inner call to claim direct connection to divine presence and power. This paper looks at the ebb and flow of this movement through the author’s life, and the often overlooked examples of women in our history and scriptures that offer a great pattern for claiming authority that is greater than any given by men. How much of our hesitation to claim personal revelation comes from the divisive and limiting, but constantly repeated rhetoric of a few men? It is time to cut the cords that bind us to an altar built to the false Gods of our fathers.
