Following the showing of Burying the Past, director Brian Patrick will answer questions about the film and the current reconciliation efforts between the Church and descendants of the Massacre’s victims. Speaking of the film’s purpose, Patrick is quoted in Utah’s Deseret Morning News as saying, “If you can show people to other people, you can reduce the prejudice in this world, and in this case, I hope to help heal some of those prejudices.”
