Knowing When to Say Goodbye: Mormonism and Medical Decision-making at the End of Life This session will describe the history of LDS perspectives on medical care at the end of life and then move into open discussions about a variety of pressing issues related to quality and quantity of life, withholding life support therapies, and the hospice movement. Specifically, we will explore how LDS beliefs about the nature of life and afterlife play in both philosophical and theoretical realms and in real-world application.
