SL10325: Mormon Women Had the Priesthood in 1843: Examining the Claims

What does it mean to say that Mormon women “have had the priesthood since 1843,” as D. Michael Quinn has claimed? In this paper, I argue that there is no coherent notion of priesthood widely accepted among the LDS. Consequently, it is less than clear what the question of whether Mormon women hold priesthood (in the contemporary sense) even amounts to.
