Tributes to Karl Sandberg, 1931-2000, or how a Southern Utah Farm-boy Became a Latter-day Saint Renaissance Man Karl started life in John’s Valley, Utah, went to Monroe, then to the worlds of P.A. Christensen, Hugh B. Brown, and others in Provo, then went to France on a mission. On this expedition to Europe Karl became an addict to the life of the mind and the life of the spirit. He dedicated the rest of his sojourn to the quest of intelligently watching, evaluating, listening, thinking, reflecting, acting, learning, reading, feeling, assisting, teaching, and writing. He was a seeker and teacher of truth! He became a Latter-day Saint Renaissance man.
